生物大分子液-液相分离是指细胞内的蛋白质、核酸等生物大分子在特定条件下，通过多价弱相互作用从均一溶液中凝聚成类似“油滴”的液滴状无膜细胞器的物理现象。这一过程驱动了细胞内的区室化，无需膜结构即可在时空上调控基因转录、信号转导等关键生命活动。本课题组整合生物化学、细胞生物学、化学生物学等多学科手段，研究解析相分离在重要生命与疾病进程中的功能；阐明其形成机制并探索新型药物干预模式；设计可调控的合成蛋白质凝聚体扩展合成生物学应用。
